ANNUAL JAZZ FEST FAST APPROACHING The 9th annual Fairfield City School District Jazz Festival Dinner and Fundraiser will be held on Thursday, February 23 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Receptions in Fairfield.  Students from grades 7 through 12 participating in one of the jazz programs will be performing this evening, and if you've never attended before this is a special treat. This is a pre-sale event only, and ticket order reservation are due by Friday February 3.  We are also asking families with students in one of the jazz bands to provide an item for the raffle baskets, and these are also due by February 3.  View these links for details on ticket order forms and raffle basket donations.

Jazz Band is a year-long course with membership through audition, and open to students in grades 10 through 12. Audition dates are announced by the director in the spring of each year. All wind players of the Jazz Band must be members of the Wind Ensemble, Concert Winds, or Chamber Winds. Past and present jazz literature and styles are performed by the ensemble. Each member of the Jazz Band must furnish his/her own equipment and musical instruments. Private instrument study is strongly suggested and encouraged.
