Friday, September 10th, Football game vs Winton Woods

5:15 PM - Load equipment

5:45 PM - Call time

6:00 PM - Depart for Winton Woods High

7:30 PM - Game time

10:00 PM- Load busses and return to FHS *

10:30 PM- Return to FHS!

*Equipment should be loaded Friday night and will remain on trailer for our Saturday competition! Anything you would like to take to the Heart Walk should be loaded onto the ENTERPRISE TRUCK!

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Since we have a competition on Saturday you may wear a section shirt or Fairfield shirt of your choice under you uniform this Friday night.

 

CALENDAR DAY – Meet in Fairfield High School cafeteria for routes and directions wearing Fairfield Music Department Attire.  When you have finished your route, please return to the high school for lunch.  Please remember that this is a mandatory event.  In order to be considered excused a director must have a note from a parent.  All woodwind players are asked to bring a 6 pack of water or pop, all brass a package of hot dogs, and all percussion and color guard, 2 bags of chips/pretzels.  Thank you for your help and participation.

 

HEART WALK (Only those who have been assigned)  SATURDAY –

Meet at Fitton Center in Hamilton wearing Red Polo and Jeans at 9:15 am.  We will play from 9:30-10:00.  We will bring the donuts and you get a free t - shirt too!  Please make sure you have ALL stand tunes!

 

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th-Competition at Troy

3:45 pm Call Time (EAT LUNCH BEFORE YOU LEAVE!)

4:00 pm - Run through on field

4:45 pm - Busses leave

6:00 pm - Arrive at Troy; Quick restroom break, eat dinner (You will need to bring some $$)

                * You will be able to watch three to four performances.

7:45 pm - meet together, stretch, horn flashes, fundamentals, etc.  DO NOT PLAY!!!!

8:25 pm – Warm - up

9:15 pm - GIVE OUR BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON!!

9:30 pm – Sit in visitor stands together to watch remaining performances.

10:30 pm - Awards; leave immediately afterwards.

11:00 pm – Depart for Fairfield

12:30 am – Arrive at Fairfield

* PLEASE REMEMBER, IF YOU LOAD YOUR EQUIPMENT ON THE TRAILER YOU MUST UNLOAD IT TOO!****

DIRECTIONS TO TROY

                Take I 75N to exit #74.  Turn right onto SR 41 (Main St.) into Troy (East).  Follow 41 into town to Adams Street.  (Tim Horton’s will be on the right at the Adams Street intersection).  Turn left onto Adams Street and go over the bridge.  You will notice the stadium complex on your right.  Please enter the parking lots at the southern most entrance.

INFORMATION FOR NEW MARCHER PICNIC

 

 

WEDNESDAY – Rehearsal from 9 am – noon at the High School.  We will have rehearsal rain or shine.  Please be prepared for the weather. 

 

The New Marcher/Senior member picnic will be from 12:30 to 3:00 pm at Harbin Park.

Upper classmen will transport new marchers to the park, but parents should make arrangements to pick up the marchers from the picnic at 3:00 pm.

 

IN CASE OF RAIN – the picnic will take place indoors at Fairfield High School.  Please make arrangements to pick up students at FHS at 3:00 pm.

Thursday and Friday, July 29th and 30th

Pre Camp – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please make sure you have appropriate marching shoes, water, and instrument.

  • Monday – Friday, August 2nd – 6th

    Monday – Friday, August 9th – 13th BAND CAMP

    *NOTE: Students need to bring cookies (one dozen) for prep camp and band camp. Please refer to the schedule below. These will be served to everyone at lunch. Thank you!

    • MONDAY – Seniors

    • TUESDAY – Juniors

    • WEDNESDAY – Sophomores

    • THURSDAY - Freshman

    Tuesday and Wednesday, (POST CAMP) August17th and 18th –

    Thursday, August 19, 2010 – Rehearsal on field from 5:00 – 7:00 pm

    • Performance will begin at 7:00 pm on or practice field at the HS.

    • Students need to be wearing SUMMER UNIFORM (red polo and khaki shorts) Picnic will immediately follow in HS Cafeteria

        Practice 2:30 – 5:00 pm

        Freshman School students should ride buses to the High School. High School students, please take caution when driving down to field. Remember to park away from the field and drive responsibly so this privilege will not be revoked. You MAY not have individuals riding in your vehicle without a seatbelt and you cannot ride in the back of pick up trucks. Thank you! You may want to wait until traffic clears. All students need to make sure they have their instruments and music as well as proper marching attire. (Students should have time to change clothes between the end of the school day and the beginning of practice.)

          6:15 pm Call Time at FIS. Make sure you have all parts of your uniform and instrument with you.

          • 7:15 pm PRE-GAME – You will need to have stand tunes with you in a flip folder and all half-time music memorized!
          • 8:30 pm HALFTIME (We will let you know what we will perform) THIRD QUARTER IS FREE UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD OTHERWISE DUE TO AN ABSENCE
          • Please remember to unload your instrument at school if you load it on the trailer. Remember to care for your uniform!!!
